Emma Wolfe (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) homered and earned the win in the circle in the Carl Sandburg College’s softball team’s 10-2 Arrowhead Conference win Wednesday at Kishwaukee.
The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was canceled due to a lack of players for the Kougars.

The Chargers got on the board early as Kelsey Hobson (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone) and Rylee Krebsbach (Aledo, Ill./Sherrard) opened the game with back-to-back singles before Wolfe swatted a three-run homer to left for a 3-0 lead.
Sandburg Standout
Wolfe’s home run was her lone hit of the game, but she also pitched a complete game, allowing just one earned run on six hits. She didn’t walk or strike out a batter while throwing 54 of 84 pitches for strikes.
